Our Story

While deployed overseas I saw the benefits of animal-assisted interventions, which inspired me to start our Mission to Spread Smiles®.

My wife, Katie, and I got Ellie, a golden retriever puppy, and within two years she earned her therapy dog certification.

We enjoy spreading smiles in schools, hospitals, military bases and nursing homes.

In 2022, we added Emma to our family, and within two years, she joined Ellie as a therapy dog spreading smiles to those in need.

We created The Hapco to help as many people as possible start their training journey and to inspire more therapy dogs in the world.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

WHY IS THE HAPCO ALL ACCESS U.S. ONLY?

We love our global audience, but currently, there are limitations to where we can provide The Hapco All Access. However, the Puppy Program is available globally and free!

Can anyone REALLY get the puppy program for free?

Yes! The first weeks with your puppy are incredibly important, and we want to ensure there are no barriers to starting your training journey.

WHAT IF MY DOG HAS BEHAVIORAL ISSUES?

The Hapco is not intended to address severe behavioral issues, such as resource guarding, separation anxiety, or aggression. For assistance with these concerns, we recommend seeking guidance from a certified dog trainer.

WHERE DID YOU LEARN TO TRAIN?

Although we don’t have traditional dog training certifications, we have spent countless hours researching and practicing dog training as everyday pet parents.
